Maria's Story
In July 2022, we lost our gorgeous friend Lucy to a brain aneurysm. Lucy bought so much energy, enthusiasm and light into every room, we miss her so much & can't help but think of the life she would be living if she were still here with us. Lucy, Patricia & I all took part in Ride Across Britain - so what better way to honour Lucy's legacy with a cycle in Ibizaaaa whilst fundraising to support SameYou, who support those who have suffered brain injuries. SameYou is a brain injury recovery charity that works to develop better mental health recovery treatment for survivors, raises awareness and advocates for change. We work with powerful partners globally to launch ground-breaking therapies and lead vital research into brain injury that wouldn’t be funded otherwise. SameYou delivers on its mission by piloting recovery innovations that bring immediate benefits to brain injury survivors and their families. A donation will help: Seed fund innovative projects such as NROL Develop a library of self-help resources for survivors and their loved ones Build a global picture of brain injury rehabilitation with our survivor stories Your generosity will help to support the rehabilitation journey for those affected by brain injury and their loved ones.
